Sony Ericsson K600i Review

This slim, silver, attractive 3G phone encompasses a multitude of features, including access to 3G technology. With video and audio streaming, video calling, and super-fast Internet access, this mobile is perfect for businesspeople and tech junkies alike.

Weighing in at just under 100 g. this phone is unlike other 3G phones with its slim, lightweight size and its curved, silver casing.

The phone boasts a 1.3 megapixel digital camera with a 4X digital zoom and a camera light that allows you to take pictures and videos of your friends, even in bars or outside at night. The display screen is large at 176 X 220 mm, and with 262,000 colors you can view all your pictures and videos right away in a bright, vibrant setting. Then you can decide which ones to delete, and which ones to send using a number of different technologies, including Bluetooth, E-mail, SMS and many more.

The K600i supports polyphonic ringtones, and with 3G technology you can download new sounds and images to your phone from almost anywhere. You can also compose your own polyphonic tones using the K600i's composer program. Other features of the model include Java games (supporting both 3-D and 2-D), an MP3 player, and an FM Radio.

37MBs of memory is adequate for this phone, while its 7 1/2 hours of talk time and 305 hours of standby time are more or less the industry standard for this level. Although not quite the top of the line, the K600i has all the features that you could ask of it, and then some.

The user interface is somewhat dodgy, and I had special difficulty maneuvering the joystick, but with its brightly animated characters (truly visible in direct sunlight) and high volume sound, I was able to forgive that small drawback.
