Samsung E310 Review
The Samsung E310 is basically the same phone as the Samsung E300, except it is only available on the Vodafone network. Although it is offered in a slightly different color scheme, there are no differences in terms of features, so anything said about the E300 will be true of the E310 as well.
A .3 megapixel digital camera is one of the features that will probably attract people to this phone. I am hard pressed, however, to recommend this phone based solely on this particular feature, as more recent camera/phone hybrids have gone as high as 2 megapixels, and the picture resolution on this one is not very good.
Just like the camera, the video recording feature is of a basic quality. If you understand that this is the most basic of resolutions that you can find in a camera, you will see that this is a device to be used solely for novelty purposes, not to be thought of as something to take clear pictures with.
With 2 color screens, 65K each, one internal and one external, the E310 is sure to turn some eyes. The color external screen—which tells you the time, date, who is calling, battery life, etc.—is particularly nice, as the dual color external screens on older flips can be tiresome.
With polyphonic ringtones and JavaÔ games, this phone is reasonably equipped to respond to the multimedia demands of most customers. Some features that are missing here are the ability to play MP3 files as ringtones, and a complete MP3 player, both of which have become increasingly popular more recently.
With WAP 2.0 for an adapted version of web browsing, SMS, EMS, MMS, and E-mail for sending text and files, and infrared connectivity for sharing data with friends, the E310 has a decent amount of connectivity, but as it does not have Bluetoothä, it is again left somewhat behind.
In the end, all that needs to be said about the E310 is that it is a basic, almost entry-level phone with a large amount of low to mod-quality features. Not a bad flip if you want a novelty camera and are looking to use the Vodafone network.
