Samsung D500 Review

Samsung E530

When the Samsung D500 was released, it seemed that the only drawback that people could come up with was that it wasn’t a smartphone. But for an ordinary mobile phone, the D500 stood alone. Even though times have changed, and technology has already moved on somewhat, the D500 still remains one of the best phones on the market, combining a lightweight, stylish design with enough features for an entertainment addict, a businessperson or both.

This tri-band phone took the basic D410 model and upgraded every single aspect. Samsung added BluetoothÔ connectivity, a USB connection, a loudspeaker attachment, and an MP3 player among other features. They also upgraded the camera, increased the memory, enlarged the already high quality screen, lengthened the video recording and playback and boosted the memory.

The slider form has become the form of choice for Samsung, and inside the D500 they managed to put in a 1.3 megapixel camera with amazing pictures quality and a digital zoom. Viewing the pictures is great on the 176 X 220 pixel screen with 262,000 colors. The screen incorporates TFT technology, so it stays bright in all light sources, including direct sunlight.

The D500 allows you to play MP3’s as ringtones, but beyond that, the large internal memory and the addition of external memory cards allows you to treat this mobile phone like an MP3 player with limited space. Video recording has also been given a serious upgrade, and sending your videos, pictures, and text is now made easier with expanded connectivity on all levels.

As a tri band phone you can take the D500 almost anywhere, and wherever you go you can be sure that you will look hip, with either the model (black or silver) and personalized wallpapers, ringtones, screensavers and everything else. This phone looks good no matter what you’re wearing or whom you’re with.

This phone appeals to both business and entertainment needs, crossing boundaries of age and social class as it is purchased by many different demographic groups. With almost 100MB of memory, no matter what you use the phone for, you can be sure that it will hold almost anything you could think to store on it, and with an additional memory card that ability is expanded infinitely.

A great phone filled with features and stylish as well, I would recommend it to almost anyone.
