Nokia 6650 Review

Nokia 9500

Nokia has recently stepped up the gears by releasing details of its new 6650.

The 6650 is Nokias first phone that will support WCDMA (Wideband Code Division Multiple Access). This of course, is the high-speed third-generation network. The 6650 will be capable of data transfer speeds up to 128kbps making it comparable to transfer rates on desktop computers.

The triple-band Nokia 6650 will also be compatible with current GSM900/1800 networks making it a truly global phone.

In addition, the 6650 will come with a digital camera and a 4096-colour display allowing for clear crisp pictures. Mobile moviemaking will become possible with the integrated camera, which captures video images and sounds. Multimedia Messaging Service (MMS) will make it easy to create and send images, voice or audio clips, and video.

The 6650 will come with a dynamic 7MB memory.

You will be able to transfer video clips to compatible PC's and send them via email. The Multimedia Player will allow you to view audio video and images on compatible PC displays. The wireless headset will free up your hands to allow you to send video and pictures while chatting on the phone.

The 6650 will not just be all videos and pictures. It will support wireless Java, Bluetooth capabilities and polyphonic ringtones.

The Nokia 6650 should be available across Europe and Asia early in 2004.
