The Crazy frog was created in 1997 by Daniel Malmedahl, who did the original as a joke to imitate his friends mopeds. He was asked to perform live on a Swedish TV program and from there it was picked up by Jamster. Daniel has made some money from the crazy frog and is happy of the attention it has grabbed him.
